The Taiga biome, also known as the Boreal Forest is located throughout a continues strip across the northern hemisphere. Boreal is the English word for "Northern". Taiga is the Russian word "swampy marshy land" and "little sticks". This biome is mainly composed of coniferous forests that hold many evergreen trees that are located at sub-arctic regions such as those as Canada and Russia and covering most of Eurasia and the upper parts of North America. Some animals that can be found in the Taiga are animals such as the american black bear, the red fox, and the bald eagle. As you can see these animals all have some adaption to help them stay alive in a forest filled and cold environment. During the winter the taiga can get as cold as -76 degrees Fahrenheit or as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit in the short summer season. Common trees that can be found in the Taiga are Pine, Spruce, Birch, and Evergreen trees.
